Ricky Martin, fresh off a performance and Latin Icon Award at the 2025 MTV VMAs, has a two-night stand Sept. 12-13 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Mexican Independence Day is this Tuesday, Sept. 16, but in true Las Vegas style, the celebrations kick off this weekend. Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford take the spotlight Saturday night at Allegiant Stadium, and there are many other ways to celebrate the occasion beyond sports.

Ricky Martin, fresh off a performance and Latin Icon Award at the 2025 MTV VMAs, has a two-night stand Sept. 12-13 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Carin Leon, fresh off announcing three dates at Sphere Las Vegas in 2026, headlines MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sept. 12.

Luckley Tavern & Grill at The Rio is hosting a Canelo-Crawford viewing party on Sept. 13. Doors open at 3 p.m. for the main event at 6 p.m. Tickets include a reserved seat and a $50 food and beverage prepayment.

From Sept. 12-16, Lapa Lounge at The Rio will serve La Fiera ($16) made with Zomoz Mezcal Espadin Joven, Appleton Estate Rum, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, orgeat and lime juice. VMC ready-to-drink cocktails ($12) will also be available in paloma, margarita and tamarind flavors.

Specials will be available at VooDoo Lounge at The Rio from Sept. 12-13.

Celebrating Mexican Independence Day Sept. 13-16, Alebrijes by Chef Paco guests can expect flautas, pambazos, sope and pozole. Happy Hour specials from 4 to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight featuring $7 margaritas, $5 draft beer and Mexican small plates at $10 each, including panuchos, Chapulines (grasshoppers), taquitos, quesadillas, tostaditas, pozole, Caesar salad and Chef Paco’s secret family recipe of flan. Locals with Nevada I.D. on Monday, Sept. 15, offered 30% off the regular priced menu. Latin DJ all weekend and Mexican banda on Sept. 14 from 12 to 3 a.m. 

Amaya Modern Mexican at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will light up the Strip with a celebration for Mexican Independence Day, including cocktails, live entertainment and bold flavors on Sept. 16.

Celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge at Resorts World Las Vegas with bottomless tequila cocktails and Latin DJs from 4 p.m. to close on Sept. 16. Reservations are encouraged and available here.

Cabo Wabo Cantina, the Strip-side bar and restaurant at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, will transform its patio into a Mexican Independence Day fiesta on Sept. 12 and 13. The celebration will feature specialty cocktails, lively beats and flavorful dishes in a high-energy setting.

Alebrijes by Chef Paco is on the third level of Neonopolis in Downtown Las Vegas.

Hard Shake at Waldorf Astoria hosts a pop-up takeover by Mexico City’s Handshake (keep those names straight) Sept. 12-13.

Another Mexico City bar, Licorería Limantour, is sending its top mixologist to Resorts World for a pop-up Casa Dragones menu at Allē Lounge on 66 Sept. 12-14.

The Fantasy Lab multi-room experience at Fashion Show mall already has a “Colors of Mexico” theme and is now becoming more festive with Viva México Sept. 12-16. Admission begins at $19.96 with a $15 credit going toward food and drink.

Pub 365 at Tuscany Suites has a pick-four special for $20 on Mexican Independence Day – and every Tuesday for that matter – with tacos, taquitos, chips and dips, tequila, beer, micheladas, mango sorbet, a churro sundae and more.

Mijo Modern Mexican at Durango has bottomless tacos and margaritas on Sept. 16, 4-10 p.m. with live performers 6-9 p.m. Stick around for the afterparty at the neighboring Wax Rabbit speakeasy.

Milpa has a special Taco Night menu featuring margaritas, agua frescas and tacos made with house-pressed tortillas 5-9 p.m. on Sept. 16. Free tepache tastings will also be available.

Azul, an agave spirits bar inside Fontainebleau Las Vegas, hosts The Spirit of Mexico: Tequila Tasting With Tequila Casa Dragones 6-7:30 p.m. Sept. 16. $150 includes a lineup of tastings paired with passed canapés.

Volcano Grille, which has locations in Henderson and the Southwest, blends Mexican and Asian food on one menu. The restaurant is lowering the price of its Volcanoritto (a burrito with chicken katsu and Japanese fried chicken) from $18 to $15 in time for the holiday weekend.

The LINQ promenade will have food, drinks and live mariachi performances throughout the weekend. Pro tip: Free El Cristiano tequila tastings, 12-7 p.m. Sept. 12-13 and 16.

You may already be familiar with Letty’s De Leticia in Downtown, but a sister restaurant, Leticia’s Cocina & Cantina is now open at Boulder Station in Henderson. Either way, you can try a couple holiday specials: chiles en nogada (stuffed poblano chile) for $18 and a flavorful sopa poblano crema soup for $12.

Head to Downtown Summerlin where La Neta Cocina y Lounge has $20 endless tacos, $25 bottomless margaritas and $7 shots from 3 p.m. to close on Sept. 16.

Más Por Favor in Chinatown is elevating its usual Taco Tuesday special on Sept. 16 with $20 bottomless margaritas, $3 shots and $2 tacos from 3 p.m. to close.

The brand-new Ritas & Fajitas at the CasaBlanca resort in Mesquite is giving away free frozen margaritas with any entrée purchase on Sept. 16.

Station Casinos is already running $1.99 frozen margaritas – and now has $3 shots (including Patron) in time for Mexican Independence Day.

The Downtown Container Park is throwing a holiday fiesta on Sept. 13, from 2 p.m. to late, featuring live performers, food deals and pop-up bars serving Modelo, Corona and Pacifico.
