One of my fondest memories is taking my father Cy, who passed away in April 2024, to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill when they headlined at The Venetian.

“It’s tough to be humble and kind in these tight britches!” said country music legend Tim McGraw (paraphrasing him) during Night 2 of his four dates at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, garnering loud laughter from the sold-out crowd.
The night of Saturday, Dec. 6, with my brother Charles Chareunsy on the Las Vegas Strip alongside the sexy pants (McGraw looks awesome at 58) included the following:
- Many, if not all, of his hits (I may have teared up three times), from show-opener “Truck Yeah” to “Indian Outlaw,” “I Like It, I Love It,” “Just to See You Smile,” “Something Like That,” “The Cowboy in Me,” “Real Good Man,” “Humble and Kind” and show-closer “Live Like You Were Dying.”
- Missing from McGraw’s setlist: His beautiful cover of “When the Stars Go Blue.” It’s asking a lot, but how about a surprise duet with wife Faith Hill, as well?
- Lowkey, funny and appreciative banter from the stage (“buy my music before tariffs” and talk of his four back and two knee-replacement surgeries in recent years).
- McGraw walked throughout The Colosseum, delighting fans with selfies, handshakes and high-fives.
- Additionally, our entrance at and exist from valet at The Colosseum was seamless, a surprise and much-appreciated on a Saturday night on the Las Vegas Strip.

One of my fondest memories is taking my father Cy, who passed away in April 2024, to McGraw and Hill when they headlined at The Venetian years ago. I remember looking at him during the concert, and he was smiling from ear to ear.
McGraw is at The Colosseum tonight and tomorrow (Saturday) at 8 p.m. as 2025 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo wraps up at the Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV. McGraw fulfilled the dates canceled and rescheduled by Dolly Parton.
I would happily see McGraw at any time again in concert. I’ve included opening night photos by Denise Truscello from Dec. 4 when McGraw wore a black satin shirt and black jeans. You’re welcome.
