The Evel Knievel Experience: An Interactive Museum of America’s Original Daredevil announces that tickets are on sale for its June 27 opening in The Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas. This new attraction will delight fans and visitors with insights into the life, legacy and impact of the iconic American performer.

Designed as a modern, interactive museum, the destination will invite guests to step into the world of Knievel through experiences, artifacts from his life and exhibits capturing the ambition, spectacle and risk behind his legendary career.

Launched as The Evel Knievel Museum in Topeka, Kansas, in 2017, the Las Vegas experience at 1001 S. First St. expands upon the award-winning, globally recognized collection. Now permanently located in Las Vegas, The Evel Knievel Experience reimagines the museum in The Entertainment Capital of the World.

Highlights include Knievel’s red, white and blue jumpsuits, which sparked the collection; his motorcycles; the Snake River Canyon Skycycle X-2, engineered for one of the most ambitious jumps in history; and the Caesars Palace jump helmet that saved his life when he crashed and fell into a coma for 29 days.

Guests will be able to walk through the restored “Big Red” Mack truck and trailer brought back to life by a team of more than 90, offering a look at the scale of his touring. The collection extends even further, featuring canes, jewelry helmets, wardrobe pieces, motorcycles, cars and additional artifacts.

Before taking its place inside its new home, “Big Red” will hit the road again as the centerpiece of “Big Red’s Run,” a cross-country caravan bringing Knievel’s legacy to life in motion. Rolling from Kansas City, Mo., to Las Vegas, the journey will draw motorcyclists, fans and roadside crowds into a moving tribute.

The run will culminate with a high-impact arrival down the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday, May 23, as “Big Red” makes its final entrance into The Arts District, setting the stage ahead of The Evel Knievel Experience’s opening.

The attraction will feature immersive experiences designed to place visitors in the rider’s perspective. Highlights include a 4D virtual-reality jump, where visitors can sit on a rumbling motorcycle, wear a custom helmet and experience a 16-car-long death-defying jump. The interactive Jump Planner will give guests the chance to plan their own daring jump and see if they can land the stunt.

Bad to the Bones offers a hands-on look at Knievel’s most famous crashes and injuries. Additional elements will include access to other rare materials from Knievel’s life, immersive storytelling through archival footage and more.

“Evel Knievel’s story doesn’t belong to just one generation – it still resonates in a powerful way today,” said CEO and Co-Founder Mike Patterson. “We designed this attraction as a place where people can feel that for themselves whether they grew up watching him or are discovering his story for the first time.”

Added Kelly Knievel, eldest son of Evel Knievel and resident of Las Vegas, “We’re thrilled to be able to share what made Evel Knievel so special and such a significant contributor to American culture. The Evel Knievel Experience is another great attraction for visitors to our city.”

“Evel Knievel tapped into the fountain of youth through sheer determination, resilience and an unshakable belief in pushing life to its limits,” added Co-Founder Lathan McKay. “After dozens of crashes, countless broken bones and near-death experiences, he continued pursuing some of the world’s most daring stunts with the energy and fearlessness of someone decades younger.

“I’m thrilled new audiences will soon discover his extraordinary sense of perseverance and dedication to his craft at the Las Vegas experience.” The experience will feature retail with gifts, apparel, memorabilia, licensed products, collectibles, toys and archival items. An online store is at EKExperience.com.
