Through never-before-seen archival and personal interviews with Idol and his family, peers and collaborators, “Billy Idol Should Be Dead” digs deep into his emergence as a prototypical punk rocker.
The lens is also on Idol’s meteoric rise as a global superstar in the MTV era and the myriad challenges Idol had to overcome to not only just survive, but also to remain one of the most beloved figures in rock ’n’ roll five decades into his career.
