A new chapter in Thai cuisine in Las Vegas is opening at 328 Thai, an elevated dining concept by Weera Thai Group. Located at 328 W. Sahara Ave. in the former Weera Thai Street Food next to Golden Steer, 328 Thai offers an intimate and curated culinary experience that fuses tradition with modern sophistication.
Designed as a refined destination for food lovers, 328 Thai features a casual and inviting atmosphere with limited seating each day from 4-10 p.m. for a personalized and immersive dining journey.
During a sneak preview with reservations from 6-8 p.m. March 21-25, customers receive 50% off a special menu at 328 Thai. The grand opening of 328 Thai is set for Saturday, March 28.
328 Thai brings the warmth of Thai home cooking into a refined, contemporary setting. Inspired by traditional recipes and thoughtful presentation, the restaurant focuses on bold flavors, fresh ingredients and storytelling through each dish.
At the heart of the experience is a menu that reflects owner Sasi Phothidokmai’s journey from Chiang Mai, Thailand, to Las Vegas, combining authentic Thai heritage with modern culinary techniques.

“Our vision for 328 Thai is to create more than just a meal, it’s an experience,” said Phothidokmai, who founded and owns Weera Thai Group. “Every dish represents a piece of our journey, honoring where we come from while embracing innovation and creativity.”
328 Thai’s menu highlights distinctive and lesser-known dishes that showcase the depth and diversity of Thai cuisine, including:
- Yum Som-O (Pomelo Salad), a refreshing and vibrant salad featuring pomelo segments layered over house-made chili jam blended with toasted coconut. Finished with lime juice, Thai fish sauce and crushed cashews, the dish delivers a balance of sweet, sour, salty, and lightly spicy flavors.
- Lon Pu (Crab Coconut Dip), a refined take on a Thai comfort classic, this creamy coconut-based dip is enriched with crab meat and aromatic herbs. Served warm with seasonal vegetables, it offers a smooth, savory profile.
- Gaeng Rawaeng (Rawaeng Curry, in the main photo with shrimp), a rare and traditional Thai curry featuring a rich, herbaceous blend of roasted spices and fresh herbs.
My guest Thomas Bassett, a longtime fan of Thai culture and Southeast Asian country, and I dined at 328 Thai on Saturday, March 21, at 6 p.m., the first reservation at the new restaurant. Everything was impressive, especially considering that we were the first dinner service.
General Manager Nan, who is a familiar face at all the Weera Thai restaurants, new mixologist Paul and server Patty led us through the wonderful culinary journey. The unique Yum Sum-O, Lon Pu and Gaeng Rawaeng were standouts in a sea of excellence, but everything was truly enjoyed.
And that includes cocktail pairings titled From Kitchen-to-Glass: The Jade Mist (sweet, sour, salty, Matcha foam, Yuzu Vodka), Bangkok Dangerous (Monkey 47 Gin, rice salad), The Drunken Watermelon (spiced rum, pressed watermelon, cilantro), The 328 Botanist (Toki Japanese whisky infused with lemongrass and kaffir lime) and Zin & Sin (Grappa, Galliano, Zinfandel).
We also enjoyed Miang Kam, Goon Chea Nam Pla, Bone Marrow Gor Lae Sauce, Tom Klong Seabass, Spicy Eggplant With Tofu, Wild Pink Shrimp With Curry, Caramelized Nam Pla Wan Quenelle and Mango Parfait. Truthfully, all the items were standouts, and we would happily order them again.

(Check out the reel on Facebook and Instagram and the website 328Thai.com for descriptions of the dishes.)
I am an avid fan of the four other Weera Thai locations (please see below) and look forward to the newest concept that I can’t share yet – but it sounds absolutely delicious … I’ll be the first in line for the fusion concept.
Reservations are now open during this sneak peek and encouraged due to limited seating. Guests can reserve their table at (702) 462-9828 and 328Thai.com.
Weera Thai Group is a family owned restaurant group rooted in a culinary legacy that began in Chiang Mai. Since opening its first Las Vegas location in 2010, Weera Thai has become a beloved local favorite, known for its authentic flavors, quality ingredients and warm hospitality.
Weera Thai Group has award-winning locations in Chinatown, Town Square, Rainbow and Warm Springs (my favorite) and two locations on Sahara, with another location to be announced soon.
