Motley Brews Sells Las Vegas Festival Portfolio to Brothers Molloy Events

“This felt like the natural next step for the festival,” said Brian Chapin, founder of Motley Brews. “We’ve spent years building Great Vegas into what it is today.”

After more than a decade of building of Nevada’s most celebrated craft beer traditions, Motley Brews has announced the sale of its Las Vegas festival portfolio to Brothers Molloy Events, led by event producer Lucas Molloy, marking a new chapter for events including the Great Vegas Festival of Beer.

As part of the transaction, Brothers Molloy Events will assume ownership and full production of the Great Vegas Festival of Beer, the state’s largest and most recognized craft beer festival. Additionally, the Downtown Brew Festival will be folded into Great Vegas to create a single, expanded annual event.

The transition builds on an existing partnership, with Brothers Molloy Events having operated the festivals alongside Motley Brews for the past three years. The move ensures continuity for attendees, breweries and partners, while positioning the festival for continued growth.

“This felt like the natural next step for the festival,” said Brian Chapin (pictured in the main photo), founder of Motley Brews. “We’ve spent years building Great Vegas into what it is today. It was incredible to watch it – and the craft brew scene – grow year after year, and Lucas and his team have already shown they can take it even further.

“Bringing everything together into one flagship event creates something bigger, more focused and ultimately more impactful for the local community.”

Brothers Molloy Events produces large-scale beer festivals across the U.S., including Vermont Brewers Festival in Burlington, VT; Beer & Cheese Fest in Madison, WI; and New Hampshire Bacon & Beer Festival in Manchester, NH.

“We’re incredibly proud to step into this role,” said Molloy. “Motley Brews built something that truly resonates with both breweries and attendees over the past decade plus. Our goal is to honor that foundation while continuing to grow the festival in a way that keeps that sense of community at its core.”

Chapin will focus on Production Theory, a design and fabrication company specializing in trade-show exhibits, retail environments and large-scale experiential builds for major brands while supporting a handoff.

Under Brothers Molloy Events, the Great Vegas Festival of Beer will serve as the flagship Las Vegas event with programming, offerings and breweries support.
