Legendary rockers Deep Purple to Headline Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on Sept. 10

2024 saw legendary British rockers Deep Purple storm back to the top of the charts, as their latest studio album “=1” hit #1 in three countries.

Hard rock legends Deep Purple have announced a show at PH Live at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m. Celebrated for defining the sound of rock for more than five decades, Deep Purple remains one of the world’s most revered live acts and will be joined by Kansas. Pre-sales will run ahead of the general on-sale Thursday, April 2, at 10 a.m. PT at  Ticketmaster.com

Deep Purple has sold more than 100 million albums and filled stadiums and arenas for decades . The band was presented the Legend Award at the 2008 World Music Awards and inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. Spanning seven decades, Deep Purple has helped pioneer and define hard rock while moving into new areas, keeping their sound fresh and attracting new fans.

The celebrated lineup of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore were responsible for creating many of the defining rock albums of the early 1970s, including “Made in Japan,” widely regarded as one of the most important and influential live albums of all time.

Known as one of the hardest-working bands, Deep Purple has continued to release No.1 albums and tour globally since forming in 1968. The past 10 years has seen the British band achieve more than 2 million album sales and four consecutive #1’s in Germany for their last four studio albums, all of which have also attained top positions across Europe.

In 2022 came the sad news of Steve Morse’s departure from the band due to personal circumstances. Moving forward, Deep Purple sought out the masterful skills of guitarist Simon McBride and played the year out in style, exciting crowds with a new energy and zeal.

2024 saw Deep Purple storm back to the top of the charts, as their latest studio album “=1” hit #1 in three countries. The release marks the band’s first album to feature McBride and extends the band’s run of global chart-toppers following “Whoosh!” (2020), “Infinite” (2017) and “Now What?!” (2013).

For the fifth time, Deep Purple joined forces with producer Bob Ezrin, and “=1” symbolizes the idea that in a world growing ever more complex, everything eventually simplifies down to a single, unified essence – everything equals one.
