After the climb at The Strat, participants gathered with family and friends at PT’s Wings & Sports to raise a glass in remembrance.
Early this morning of Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, more than 400 Las Vegas firefighters, police officers, EMTs and military personnel paid tribute to the first responders who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, by completing the sixth-annual 1,455-step Tower Climb to the top of The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower.
The day began on the Las Vegas Strip with an Honor Guard presentation and a moment of silence before the climb commenced. Las Vegas firefighters participated in full gear, and many climbers wore lanyards displaying the photo and name of a fallen first responder.
After the climb at The Strat, participants gathered with family and friends at PT’s Wings & Sports to raise a glass in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice 24 years ago in New York City and Virginia.
Proceeds from the Tower Climb benefit charitable organizations including Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which supports families of fallen and injured first responders and service members; Southern Nevada Burn Foundation, which assists burn survivors and promotes fire prevention education; and Vegas Fire and Rescue Charitable Association, which provides aid to local firefighters and their families.
