After four months, Ellie Parker defeated Jada Vidal of Florida to become head chef of Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods in Connecticut and won $250,000.
What a week it’s been for Executive Chef Ellie Parker of Main St. Provisions on Main Street in The Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas.
On Wednesday, Parker learned that she was one of 14 James Beard Award semifinalists in Las Vegas, a record for this Dining Capital of the World. Parker received recognition in the Emerging Chef category.
“Ever since I was a little girl discovering my love for culinary arts, I have only wanted one thing, a James Beard Award,” Racine, Wisc., native Parker said in an Instagram post.
“This week has been an absolute roller coaster of emotions, and this is the cherry on top. I am so grateful and (this) truly is a huge point in my career.”
Then on Thursday night, she was crowned the winner of Gordon Ramsay’s long-running “Hell’s Kitchen.” In past seasons, the winners have received employment at a Ramsay restaurant in Las Vegas as part of the victory.
Season 24 of “Hell’s Kitchen” was dubbed “The Battle of the States.” After four months, Parker defeated Jada Vidal of Florida to become head chef of Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods in Connecticut and won $250,000.
The resume of Parker, who moved to Las Vegas at age 7 and studied at UNLV, includes Culinary Dropout, MB Steak, La Cave, One Steakhouse, Brera Osteria and The Bedford by Martha Stewart before joining Main St. Provisions.
Parker also recently became engaged. Congratulations to the rising culinary star on all fronts!
