The talented ice skaters and dancers performing “Disney on Ice” at The Thomas & Mack Center slayed the ice – standouts include “Mary Poppins” and “Frozen.”
Opening night of “Disney on Ice Presents Road Trip Adventures” on Thursday, April 30, was maybe 75% full – expect the weekend shows to be more packed since it won’t be a school night – but you’d never guess it based on the cheers and screams from kids – many of them dressed as princesses.
The talented ice skaters and dancers performing “Disney on Ice” at The Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV slayed the ice – standouts include “Mary Poppins” tripping the light fantastic with BMX bikes and jumps, “Moana,” “The Lion King” and “Frozen.” Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go” was pretty much an arena singalong.

One of the great things about “Disney on Ice” is that it’s for all ages. It’s heartwarming to see children lose themselves cheering for Olaf, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Simba, Mickey Mouse, Goofy and many more. It’s pure joy – and it’s a nice breath of fresh air.
Parents and other adults will be reminded fondly of their childhood – or at least their younger years – singing along to “A Whole New World” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” while still bewildered by Will Smith in his … exuberant … performance as The Genie in “Aladdin.”
The multi-generational experience, which also features Minnie Mouse, Timon, Pumbaa, Jasmine, Bo Peep, Forky, Merida, Belle, Ariel, Mulan, Tiana and more, has six remaining performances through Sunday, May 3, at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Tickets are at UNLVtickets.com and the box office.
The dates (guests ages 2 and older must have a ticket to attend):
7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, and Friday, May 1
11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, May 2
11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3
Enhance the experience with a preshow Character Experience, “Wayfinding With Moana,” that includes a dance party, crafting and interactive time with Moana. Bring your personal device for photo opportunities with Moana and her guest, Mickey Mouse.
