Soulbelly BBQ has been recognized by The Michelin Guide as a recommended destination in its new Southwest guide. The acknowledgement was announced the night of Wednesday, Aug. 26, during a ceremony at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip, placing The Arts District barbecue spot as one of only two dozen restaurants to be recognized in the Las Vegas Valley. 

This distinction recognizes SoulBelly Chef and Owner Bruce Kalman’s eatery as the only barbecue restaurant in Las Vegas recognized by The Michelin Guide. “When I opened SoulBelly BBQ in 2021, I never imagined that our success would lead us to this incredible recognition from The Michelin Guide. This is a great reward for everyone on our hardworking, dedicated team,” said Kalman.

“SoulBelly is proud to represent the amazing barbeque community in Las Vegas and to be recognized among an esteemed group of culinary talent in The Michelin Southwest Guide.” During the ceremony, Michelin unveiled its “wider guide,” highlighting restaurants including SoulBelly for their high-quality food, welcoming atmosphere and affordable prices across the Southwest states.

This year marks the first year that The Michelin Guide returns to Las Vegas after a 17-year absence as part of the new regional The Michelin Guide Southwest, which also includes Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.

SoulBelly, known for its creative regional BBQ with an emphasis on Central Texas, is led and founded by James Beard-nominated Kalman. The restaurant offers guests a welcoming atmosphere, serving responsibly raised meats and quality ingredients, simple and delicious cocktails, a locally focused beer program, live entertainment and more on Main Street in Downtown Las Vegas.

SoulBelly’s menu highlights include Creekstone Beef smoked brisket, house-made sausage links, barbecue rice bowls, barbacoa street tacos, loaded barbecue fries and more.
