The Beverly Theater Goes Out With a Blood Bath as ‘The Wake’ Ends on Oct. 31

From monsters and cult cinema to prom night terror and midnight madness, The Beverly’s Halloween lineup delivers frightful favorites.

The Beverly Theater in Downtown Las Vegas is going out with a scream on Halloween as “The Wake: An Open Casket Viewing of Haunted Cinema” concludes with a bloodbath of cult classics, 4K restorations, art and late-night revelry. With the 9:30 p.m. screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” sold out, a second showing at midnight on Saturday, Oct. 31, has been added.

The Halloween finale goes beyond the screen with a cinema artwear activation by Las Vegas artist Recycled Propaganda from 7:30-11:30 p.m., along with a DJ adding to the night’s festivities. For “Rocky Horror” fans, audience participation props are included with admission, so guests can leave their own props at home and come ready to join the fun – and do the Time Warp again.

From monsters and controversial cult cinema to prom night terror and midnight madness, The Beverly’s Halloween lineup delivers a full day of frightful favorites:

  • 2 p.m. – “Mad Monster Party” (1967): A stop-motion monster mash bringing together some of horror’s most recognizable creatures.
  • 4 p.m. – “The Devils” (1971): A special uncut screening of Ken Russell’s provocative cult classic presented in a 4K restoration.
  • 7 p.m. – “Carrie” (1976): Brian De Palma’s iconic tale of high school horror and revenge returns to the big screen in a 4K restoration.
  • 9:30 p.m. – “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (1975): SOLD OUT
  • Midnight – “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (1975): JUST ADDED! By popular demand, a second screening gives fans another chance to celebrate the cult classic. Audience participation props are included with tickets.

The evening includes a cinema artwear activation by Recycled Propaganda from 7:30-11:30 p.m. A DJ will keep the Halloween atmosphere going as moviegoers gather for the evening’s festivities at The Beverly Theater.

The celebration marks the conclusion of The Beverly’s monthlong tribute to haunted cinema, bringing together horror favorites, cult discoveries and screenings in a fittingly frightful finale. For the complete schedule, showtimes and to buy a Slash Pass and tickets, visit The Beverly Theater.
