Since 2022, the group has returned to present six performances at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas over two three-night engagements, proving that the Las Vegas stage continues to be a draw for fans and the seasoned rock band.
Widespread Panic was formed by original members John “J.B.” Bell (vocals/guitar), Dave Schools (bass) and the late Michael Houser (guitar), who lived together in a house in Athens, where they met as students not far from the University of Georgia, and were later joined by drummer Todd Nance.

The line-up was solidified with the addition of percussionist Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz, keyboard player John “JoJo” Hermann, guitarist Jimmy Herring and Duane Trucks on drums.
