“This milestone is about much more than dollars raised. It reflects the power of partnership and our shared commitment.”
In recognition of Hunger Action Month, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas celebrated a milestone in its commitment to fighting food insecurity in the Las Vegas Valley, reaching $1 million in donations to The Just One Project for the Food Rescue Alliance. Hunger Action Month in September raises awareness of food insecurity and inspires communities to act in support of hunger relief efforts.
To mark the occasion, programming began at The Venetian with a surplus food pickup, where rescued food was collected and transported to Just One for packaging and redistribution in Southern Nevada. The event culminated with a check presentation at Just One, where The Venetian CMO Marcy Miles and Just One CEO Brooke Neubauer reflected on the impact and growth of the partnership.

The $1 million milestone represents contributions made since 2023, when The Venetian became the founding parter of the Food Rescue Alliance’s pilot program. Together, the organizations have worked to redirect high-quality surplus food to individuals and families facing food insecurity across Southern Nevada.
“This milestone is about much more than dollars raised. It reflects the power of partnership and our shared commitment to supporting families in Southern Nevada,” said Miles. “Together through the Food Rescue Alliance, we have rescued more than 754,000 pounds of food and helped provide over 628,000 meals.
“Every pound of food we save is food that nourishes a family instead of going to waste. We are deeply thankful to The Just One Project for their tireless efforts in making this program thrive and ensuring these resources reach the people who need them most.”
Neubauer added, “The Just One Project is grateful for The Venetian Resort Las Vegas’ continued partnership and support. This milestone represents a meaningful investment in our mission and in the thousands of Southern Nevadans who rely on access to groceries, meals and essential resources.”
