Sally Steele’s eighth Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Awards are set to hit the stage again featuring and honoring rock music legends as it celebrates the future of rock. The awards are set for The Orleans Showroom at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.
Artists attending to be honored include Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan, Michael Anthony (Van Halen), Mitch Malloy, D.J. Ashba (Guns N’ Roses), Chris Kael (Five Finger Death Punch, pictured in the main photo), Gilby Clarke, Zowie Bowie, Craig Gass, Armored Saint, Heroine Honey and Pure Sport.
Sammy Hagar will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and additional headliners and artists are expected to be announced soon. The awards feature live performances, including the all-star celebrity jam at the end of the evening.

The event will be preceded by a Grand Rock n’ Roll Royal Red Carpet event at 6 p.m. with appearances by rock artists and other celebrities. It is upstairs from the showroom, and ticketholders and the public are welcome.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and showtime is at 8. Tickets start at $25, plus taxes and fees, and are available at Ticketmaster.com and Boyd Gaming properties. The awards will be streamed live on Steele’s Facebook page.
