“Through this unified system, we are creating a more sustainable model to coordinate health care, behavioral health, housing assistance and case management.”
A message from Aid for AIDS of Nevada Executive Director Antioco Carrillo:
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Today, I am incredibly proud to share a historic milestone for Aid for AIDS of Nevada – one that maximizes the impact of your generosity and secures the future of care in Southern Nevada. AFAN, along with Golden Rainbow, is officially joining forces with The LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas. By bringing our three organizations together, we are uniting more than a century of combined service into a single, powerhouse network.
For our dedicated donors, this integration represents the ultimate amplification of your investments. By combining our administrative infrastructure and centralizing operations, we are drastically reducing overhead and duplication. This means your financial contributions will go even further, allowing us to direct more resources straight to direct client care, vital prevention programs and expanded services.
Through this unified system, we are creating a more sustainable model to coordinate health care, behavioral health, housing assistance and case management. It strengthens our collective positioning to attract major federal funding and corporate grants, ensuring that the critical programs you have built and sustained remain resilient for generations to come.
Please be assured that the extraordinary legacy and intent of your past support for AFAN will be strictly preserved. I will continue serving our community as the Chief Housing and Integrated Health Officer at The Center, and our dedicated frontline staff will remain in their positions to guarantee absolute continuity of care. Furthermore, our signature fundraising traditions – including the AIDS Walk and The Black & White Party – will proceed exactly as planned, offering the same high-impact sponsorship opportunities you know and love.
As we begin this new chapter, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your enduring partnership, trust and philanthropy. Together, we are maximizing our efficiency, reaching more people and building a healthier, more stable safety net for Southern Nevada.
With deep gratitude,
Antioco Carrillo
Executive Director, Aid for AIDS of Nevada
Incoming Chief Housing and Integrated Health Officer, The LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas
