Throughout the drive, Mix 94.1 rallied listeners to bring donations, emphasizing that every $1 given to Three Square provides up to three meals.
Station Casinos brought the annual 4 Corners Food Drive to a close on Friday, Sept. 26, with a surprise $100,000 donation to Three Square Food Bank.
The culminating event took place at Durango Casino & Resort’s Eat Your Heart Out Food Hall, where Mix 94.1 FM wrapped its weeklong broadcast encouraging community donations to fight hunger in Southern Nevada.
As part of the campaign, Station Casinos properties pledged $10,000 each day of the week to support the cause, beginning with Santa Fe Station on Monday, Palace Station on Tuesday, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station and Boulder Station on Wednesday, Red Rock Casino on Thursday and ending with Durango on Friday.
These contributions added up to $70,000. In a twist during the live check presentation, Durango Vice President and General Manager David Horn received a last-minute call from his leadership team.
With a green light to increase the donation, he announced that Station Casinos would add $30,000, bringing the total to an even $100,000.
The announcement was met with cheers from Mix 94.1 hosts Mercedes Martinez and Julian Nieh, Three Square Philanthropy Officer Irma McDow and attendees of the event.
Throughout the weeklong drive, Mix 94.1 rallied listeners to bring donations, emphasizing that every $1 given to Three Square provides up to three meals for Southern Nevadans in need.
Today’s surprise $100,000 gift further amplified those efforts and highlighted Station Casinos’ longstanding commitment to nourishing and uplifting the Las Vegas community.
