In a race against the clock, the BMX star powered through a jumbo pretzel in 3 minutes and 25 seconds, narrowly defeating the spirited lineup of competitors.
Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas celebrated National Pretzel Day in deliciously competitive fashion on Saturday, April 25, as a group of local celebrity and media personalities faced off in the venue’s seventh-annual pretzel-eating contest.
When the crumbs settled, professional BMX athlete and TV personality Ricardo Laguna rose to the top, securing the $1,000 grand prize for his chosen charity, Silver State BMX.

Following the high-energy showdown, the celebration continued Bavarian-style with hearty fare, flowing steins and festive cheer.
Laguna capped off his victory by tapping the season’s first keg of Hofbräu Maibock, a rich, seasonal brew imported from Munich that signals the arrival of spring, now available at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas through May.
It was my second time in four years competing in the pretzel-eating contest, and I once again really enjoyed it. I love the food and beer at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas, and it is always fun to see my friends and fellow competitors in the contest.
