Siegel’s 1941 returns just weeks before El Cortez Hotel & Casino celebrates its 85th anniversary on Nov. 7 in Downtown Las Vegas.
The martini lunch is back in Downtown Las Vegas. A new Siegel’s 1941 is open at El Cortez Hotel & Casino serving decadent breakfasts and scratch-made lunches built on comfort classics in a dining room steeped in Vintage Las Vegas glamour. Reservations are available at Siegels1941lv.com, and walk-ins are welcome.
Named for early owner, notorious mobster Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, and the year El Cortez was established, Siegel’s 1941 returns just weeks before the property celebrates its 85th anniversary on Nov. 7.
“People come down here because it’s the real thing, the way Las Vegas used to be,” said Kenny Epstein, El Cortez owner. “We’re 85 years old and still going strong, and Siegel’s 1941 is the next chapter. Good food, good service and a martini at lunch. That’s how it was done back then, and it’s still the right way to do it.”

Mornings start with indulgent takes on breakfast favorites, including matzoh brei, country fried steak and eggs Benedict. At 11 a.m., lunch joins the lineup with sandwiches such as a patty melt, gourmet burger and French dip; salads including a seafood Louie with Maine lobster and jumbo shrimp (pictured in the main photo) and a classic wedge; and entrees such as steak frites and penne alla vodka.
Pair it all with a well-made martini, then save room for desserts led by a signature New York cheesecake. The newly remodeled dining room seats more than 150 guests and sets the scene with emerald-green banquettes, cognac leather seating, rich wood paneling and gold accents.
Siegel’s 1941 is open daily from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at El Cortez. For more information and updates, visit Siegels1941LV.com and follow Siegel’s 1941 on Instagram and TikTok at @siegels1941lv and at Facebook.com/siegels1941lv.
