Las Vegas ended a 10-game losing streak with the victory on Sunday, Jan. 4, and The Raiders also stopped its overall 11-game skid against AFC West opponents.

The Las Vegas Raiders, the NFL team with the worst record, finished the 2025-2026 season with what pundits labeled one of the ugliest wins of the year – a 14-12 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, who fell to 6-11 after making it to The Super Bowl last year before being crushed by The Philadelphia Eagles.

The day after the win, secured by a career-best 60-yard field goal by Daniel Carlson with eight seconds left on the clock at Allegiant Stadium just west of the Las Vegas Strip, head coach Pete Carroll was terminated alongside five other NFL coaches.

This was the first victory for the Raiders (3-14) over the Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium, which still boasts the most expensive NFL tickets in the nation. Las Vegas ended a 10-game losing streak with the victory on Sunday, Jan. 4, and The Raiders also stopped its overall 11-game skid against AFC West opponents.

The Raiders have the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Meanwhile, fans of many NFL teams wondered, “Was this Travis Kelce’s final NFL game?” Our thanks once again to Tom Donoghue for his photographs of all the action on NFL Sunday.
