Palms Casino Resort + L&W Award $20,000 to 10 Local Charities at Debut of L&W Lane

All 10 organizations expressed excitement and gratitude for the chance to participate, noting the fun, camaraderie and meaningful support the event delivered.

Palms Casino Resort and Light & Wonder Inc. (together with its subsidiaries, “Light & Wonder” or “L&W”) celebrated the official debut of L&W Lane at Palms with a holiday “Keep It or Build It Up” Charity Slot Event, awarding nearly $20,000 among 10 local nonprofits.

Designed to pair community impact with the excitement of casino play, the event transformed the branded slot area into a festive celebration of giving. Curated by Palms’ Assistant General Manager Laura De La Cruz, the charitable concept invited 10  nonprofits – each receiving a $1,000 cash donation and four $250 TITO slot vouchers – to test their luck on any machine in the newly unveiled lane.

Whatever the groups won was theirs to keep, creating an opportunity to “build up” additional funding for their missions during the holiday season. Participating nonprofits included After School All-Stars, Communities in Schools, Goodie Two-Shoes, The Shade Tree and United Way of Southern Nevada.

Also: Jeremiah Program, Springs Preserve Foundation, Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, Edward Kline Homeless Veterans Fund and the Marty Hennessy Inspiring Children Foundation, whose representative scored one of the night’s biggest highlights by hitting a jackpot on a Super Hot Flamingo Pots machine.

All 10 organizations expressed excitement and gratitude for the chance to participate, noting the fun, camaraderie and meaningful support the event delivered.

“The holidays are when local charities need support the most, and having a great partner like Light & Wonder made this crazy idea not only possible, but truly special,” said De La Cruz. “The energy, the excitement, the wins – it all came together to create a memorable event that made a real impact.”

Light & Wonder echoed the enthusiasm for a partnership with innovation, entertainment and philanthropy. “We were thrilled to help launch the L&W Lane in such a meaningful way,” said Light & Wonder Corporate Affairs & Communications Vice President Andy Fouché.

“Seeing our newest titles fuel excitement while supporting organizations that strengthen the Las Vegas community was incredibly rewarding. This event showcased what’s possible when creative ideas meet shared values.”

The newly debuted L&W Lane features 40 fan-favorite progressive slot games, elevated décor, high-energy design and a lineup of top-performing L&W titles, including Huff N’ Puff – We’ve Had Enuff, Huff N’ Triple Puff, Super Hot Flaming Pots, Triple Blast From the Planet Moolah and more.

The launch event treated guests and charity representatives to holiday décor, custom L&W swag and a celebratory environment befitting the season. The L&W Lane is now open to all Palms guests and is the newest addition to the resort’s continually expanding gaming experience.
