New Dining: Marufuku Ramen Opens in Downtown Summerlin, Its Second Las Vegas Location

Marufuku Ramen in DTS will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. Founded in San Francisco in 2017, Marufuku Ramen serves Hakata-style ramen.

Marufuku Ramen celebrated the grand opening of its second Las Vegas outpost on Wednesday, Feb. 4, this one in Downtown Summerlin at 2010 Festival Plaza Drive. Events included a ribbon-cutting with the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce, giveaways (the first 100 guests received branded chopsticks), photo opportunities and a lion dance.

The opening marks the brand’s continued expansion in Las Vegas after the debut of its first Nevada location at The Bend in Southwest Las Vegas. The 2,440-square-foot restaurant offers indoor dining and an outdoor patio with firepits. Designed as a full-service restaurant, Marufuku Ramen extends beyond ramen with a curated menu of appetizers, a robust bar program and Japanese-inspired grilled specialties. 

Marufuku Ramen’s menu includes Tonkotsu ramen with thin artisanal noodles, izakaya-style appetizers, savory rice bowls and Kushiyaki, an exclusive yakitori-inspired, Japanese-style grilled skewers only offered in Las Vegas at the new Downtown Summerlin location. A full bar also unique to the Las Vegas locations includes cocktails and premium Japanese shochu, sake and whiskey.

A sneak peek with Tommy Bassett on Tuesday night: fried Brussels sprouts, chicken karaage (the spicy chicken wings were sold out), Hakata Tonkatsu DX, Chicken Paitan DX (with a fantastic sizzling chicken drumstick and thigh as a side), mushroom skewers, okra skewers, Yuzu Margarita and Old Fashioned.

The preview made me want to visit The Bend location, as well, and return for patio dining, always a favorite option. Also at Marufuku Ramen in DTS: Celine Tuason, Alex Wong, Laverne Santos, Rei Bollozos + Ryan Slattery and OneSeven Agency’s Carrie Giverson and Dayle Guttenberg.
