National Atomic Testing Museum Hosts Atomic Stories Event July 3 in Las Vegas

Guided by museum educators, the hands-on experiences are designed to engage participants while introducing science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

The National Atomic Testing Museum has announced that it will host Stars, Stripes & STEAM on Friday, July 3, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This patriotic event invites guests of all ages to participate in  STEAM activities and enjoy appearances by Vault Boy and food from Frankie’s Food Truck.

Sponsored by the Samoset Chapter of the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, STEAM activities from 10-11 a.m. include building and launching foam rockets and creating slime while supplies last.

Guided by museum educators, the hands-on experiences are designed to engage participants while introducing science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics concepts in a fun and interactive way.

Fallout fans can also meet and take photos with Vault Boy during appearances at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. All activities are included with museum admission. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit AtomicMuseum.vegas.

The National Atomic Testing Museum is operated and maintained by its parent company, the Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation (NTSHF), an IRS 501(c)3 charitable, nonprofit organization chartered in Nevada.

Covering nuclear history, beginning with the first test at Nevada Test Site on Jan. 27, 1951, the National Atomic Testing Museum’s exhibitions and programming also address current affairs related to the nuclear industry.
