Kats has been shaving his head for St. Baldrick’s since 2013. Attendees can expect a mix of entertainment including musical performances, comedy, magic and more.
The Composers Room Showlounge & Restaurant has announced the St. Baldrick’s Kickoff “All Vegas, All Night” Birthday Celebration for Las Vegas man-about-town columnist John Katsilometes on Monday, March 2, from 6-11 p.m.
This high-energy evening will blend Las Vegas entertainment with a heartfelt cause, as the city’s top performers gather to raise funds for the Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist’s St. Baldrick’s campaign supporting pediatric cancer research.
Katsilometes has been shaving his head for St. Baldrick’s since 2013 (that’s him with Holly Madison in a photo taken by Denise Truscello at New York-New York). This year’s event marks the second time his annual St. Baldrick’s fundraiser is taking center stage at The Composers Room on Sahara east of the Las Vegas Strip.
Attendees can expect a mix of entertainment including musical performances, comedy, magic and more. Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club headliner comic Luenell will take the stage to shave Katsilometes’ head.

The event serves as the official kickoff to his St. Baldrick’s fundraising endeavor, which culminates at New York-New York’s Nine Fine Irishmen on March 14. Post-fundraiser, guests can stay for Kenny Davidsen’s open-mic piano party.
“These events are set up to generate donations for St. Baldrick’s at a cool hang in Las Vegas,” said Katsilometes. “It’s sure to be hopping into the late-night hours.”
Guests can purchase food from The Composers Room menu and custom zero-proof mocktails crafted for the evening, including the powder-blue “Kats Classic” concocted as an homage to Katsilometes’ very own 1967 Mercury Cougar.
“Our city thrives on spectacle, community and heart – this night brings all three together in a way only Vegas can,” said Composers Room Managing Partner Damian Costa. “Johnny Kats does so much for this city’s entertainers, so we’re gratified to be able bring that talent together for the second year in a row in his honor.”
The Composers Room Showlounge & Restaurant is located at 953 E. Sahara Ave. A $25 suggested donation purchased here or at the door grants entry to the celebration, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
