“We’re proud to celebrate the countless families, educators, volunteers, members and supporters who have made that vision a lasting part of Southern Nevada.”
The Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum celebrates 35 years of inspiring curiosity with its “Birthday Celebration: The Magic of Science” on Saturday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests of all ages are invited to commemorate this milestone with a day of hands-on STEAM experiences, community partnerships and interactive discovery.
This celebration embraces this year’s theme “The Magic of Science,” inviting guests to discover how curiosity, creativity and exploration can make science magical. As families journey through the museum, they’ll encounter experiences that spark wonder while celebrating the role science has played in inspiring the community for the past 35 years.
The museum has inspired generations of curious minds through immersive exhibits, educational programming and community engagement. This birthday celebration honors that legacy while looking ahead to the next generation of explorers, innovators and lifelong learners.
“Thirty-five years ago, a group of passionate community members came together with a vision to create a place where curiosity could thrive,” said museum Executive Director Laurie Thomas.
“Today, we’re proud to celebrate the countless families, educators, volunteers, members and supporters who have made that vision a lasting part of Southern Nevada. The Magic of Science is our way of thanking the community while continuing to inspire wonder through discovery.”
From experimenting with scientific concepts to exploring museum exhibits, visitors will discover that magic is found through learning and discovery. Guests can also enjoy complimentary ice cream from Anderson Dairy, available while supplies last, adding an extra sweet treat to the museum’s birthday celebration.
As a thank you to the community for 35 years of support, the museum will offer half-priced admission throughout the event. The celebration provides an opportunity for families to create lasting memories while discovering the excitement of science together.
