James Taylor & His All-Star Band Returning to The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas May 9-10

James Taylor was awarded The Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by France and The National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in 2012. 

James Taylor & His All-Star Band have announced 2026 tour dates that include 29 shows in U.S. cities, among them The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. PT at Ticketmaster.comCosmopolitanLasVegas.com and (800) 745-3000. 

Artist fans will have access to a pre-sale Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. PT. Members of MGM Rewards, MGM Resorts’ loyalty rewards program, and Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers will have access to a pre-sale Thursday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. PT. All pre-sales end Thursday, Jan. 15, at 10 p.m. PT. 

As a recording and touring artist, Taylor has gained longtime loyal fans with his warm baritone voice and distinctive style of guitar-playing for more than 50 years while setting a precedent to which musicians have aspired. Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums, earning gold, platinum and multiplatinum awards since the release of his self-titled debut album in 1968.

In 2015, Taylor released “Before This World,” his first No. 1 album. Taylor has won multiple Grammy Awards and been inducted into The Rock and Roll and  Songwriters Halls of Fame. In February 2006, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences selected him as its MusicCares Person of the Year.

Taylor was awarded The Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by France and The National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in 2012. In November 2015, Taylor was presented with The Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor and in December 2016 received The Kennedy Center Honors, presented annually to distinguished individuals in the performing arts.

In 2020, Taylor released “Break Shot,” a personal and authentic audio-only memoir detailing his first 21 years. He also released his newest and 19th album, “American Standard,” which earned Taylor the 2021 Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and gave him the honor of being the first artist to have a Billboard Top 10 album in each of the past six decades.
