An iconic Los Angeles burger institution is making its debut at Green Valley Ranch Resort Casino & Spa on July 9, bringing more than 80 years of California burger history to Henderson.

Irv’s Burgers, known for its classic burgers, hand-drawn doodles and signature “Just for You” hospitality, is opening its third Southern Nevada location inside one of the Las Vegas Valley’s premier resort destinations.

The first two locations are also at Station Casinos properties (Station Casinos is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year): Durango Casino and Resort in Southwest Las Vegas and Red Rock Resort in Summerlin.

To celebrate, the first 100 guests in line will receive a free Roadside Burger, and 25 loyalty members will be randomly selected to win Free Burgers for a Year.

Guests will also have the chance to win 1) two Green Valley Ranch staycation packages, each including complimentary two-night stay, $500 resort credit, choice of a Hank’s Steakhouse, Blue Ribbon Sushi, spa or pool cabana experience and Green Valley Ranch merchandise and gift basket and 2) 200 tickets to see Grace Potter on Friday, July 10, at 8 p.m. at Green Valley Ranch Backyard.

“Every Irv’s location carries the responsibility of honoring a story that began nearly eight decades ago,” said Irv’s Burgers CEO Lawrence Longo. “As we grow, our goal is to introduce more people to Irv’s while staying true to what has always made Irv’s special.

“People connect with places that feel authentic, have history and create lasting memories. That’s the experience we hope to continue sharing in new markets.”

Irv’s started as Queen’s Burgers, a roadside stand that attracted travelers with a simple sign that read “No Lobster, Just Burgers.” Over the decades, the restaurant became a fixture of L.A. culture and earned designation as a cultural resource by the City of West Hollywood.

“As we continue to upgrade Green Valley Ranch, Irv’s Burgers is the perfect addition to the evolving offerings at the food court. Irv’s is all about creating experiences that bring people together and giving guests a quality and memorable offering,” said GVR VP and General Manager Ryan Simmons. “We know our guests are going to love it.”

Irv’s Burgers hours at GVR: 9 a.m. to midnight Sundays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. More: IrvsBurgers.com
