Bar 1968 offers guests a new place to gather for cocktails, beer, wine, gaming and conversation while honoring the history that helped shape Ellis Island.
As part of Ellis Island Casino & Hotel’s $35 million expansion and renovation parallel to the Las Vegas Strip to the east, Ellis Island has opened Bar 1968, a 28-seat gaming bar located inside the casino steps from the original Village Pub, the very place where Ellis Island’s story began.
Frank Ellis opened the doors of the original Village Pub in 1968 on Koval Lane just one block east of the Las Vegas Strip. Over the years, the property expanded and evolved, eventually becoming what Ellis Island is today.
Fifty-eight years later, Bar 1968 brings that story full circle with a new space featuring a gaming-focused bar, lounge seating, custom art and lighting and an LED screen for guests to catch all the games.
