Duran Duran to Headline Four Shows in May at Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Duran Duran’s awards and accolades have included eight lifetime achievement awards, two Grammys, two Ivor Novellos and two Brit Awards.

After sold-out dates at Fontainebleau Las Vegas for two consecutive New Year’s Eve celebrations, Duran Duran is set to return to BleauLive Theater for four nights this May. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees will take the stage Saturday, May 2; Wednesday, May 6; Friday, May 8; and Saturday, May 9, at 8 p.m.

Artist fans will have access to a pre-sale Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. PT. More pre-sales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale Friday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. PT at FontainebleauLasVegas.com/entertainment/duran-duran/.

Duran Duran has always reveled in the shadows, playing with artistic, aesthetic and emotional extremes. As much as fans can move to the timeless chants of “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Ordinary World” and “Rio,” it feels most natural to do so under the cover of night.

Duran Duran is the ultimate soundtrack to sharing secrets in close whispers on the dance floor before the lights go up. Duran Duran has sold more than 100 million records in addition to scoring 18 U.S. chart hits and 21 Top 20 U.K. smashes.

Awards and accolades have included eight lifetime achievement awards, two Grammys, two Ivor Novellos, two Brit Awards (including “Outstanding Contribution to Music” in 2004) and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Duran Duran penned the only James Bond theme to reach #1 in the U.S., while David Lynch helmed one of their most successful concert films. You can hear the band sampled in songs by everyone from Notorious B.I.G. to 5 Seconds of Summer and in reverent covers by Muse, Deftones and more.

“Rio” has claimed spots on Q’s “100 Greatest British Albums,” NME’s “100 Greatest Albums of All Time” and Pitchfork’s “Top 100 Albums of the 1980s.” Vanity Fair proclaimed, “Duran Duran’s always been about constant innovation and the ‘new’.”

Given a penchant and flair for fashion, rock music never looked the same after Duran Duran’s emergence. Their impact as style icons has been well-documented by WWD, Vogue and more.
