Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Concerts by Nearly a Year Due to ‘Health Challenges’

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” Parton, 79, began her post.

From People.com:

Dolly Parton has postponed a number of her Las Vegas concerts due to “health challenges.”

The country music icon announced the news in a message to fans on Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 28.

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” Parton, 79, began her post.

She continued, “As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

“In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You see good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” the “9 to 5” singer added.

“And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” Parton wrote. “But I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

“I love you and thank you for understanding,” she concluded her post.

The message was then followed by a list of revised tour dates, revealing that the country star’s December dates will be postponed to the fall of 2026.

Parton was scheduled to perform in Las Vegas for a limited and sold-out engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. It would have been the first time that she performed an extended run in the city in 32 years.

People reached out to reps for Parton for comment on Sunday, Sept. 28, but did not receive an immediate response.

Parton missed an engagement at Dollywood, her theme park in Tennessee, on Sept. 17 due to kidney stones

“I had a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of problems, turned out it’d given me an infection, and the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better,’ ” she told fans in a video taped for event attendees.
