Diplo’s Major Lazer to Perform at 2026 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony in Italy

The performance kicks off a landmark 2026 for the group, who are touring extensively for the first time in seven years, with stops at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Ultra and more.

Global pop force Diplo’s Major Lazer is bringing a centerpiece performance to the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics in Italy. The hitmakers are set to play their biggest hits, including “Lean On,” with surprise guests. Fans can watch on NBC and Peacock at 11 a.m. PT on Sunday, Feb. 22.

The Diplo-founded ensemble has become one of the most successful groups in pop featuring longtime members Walshy Fire and Ape Drums alongside new addition America Foster. Major Lazer has delivered hits including “Lean On,” 4x platinum-certified “Cold Water” and 2x platinum-certified “Light It Up.”

Major Lazer has collaborated with Beyoncé, J Balvin, WizKid, El Alfa, Burna Boy, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande and more. The Olympic performance will kick off a landmark 2026 for the group, who are touring extensively for the first time in seven years, with stops at Coachella, Governors Ball Bonnaroo, Ultra and more.

Major Lazer is set to debut songs as fans await more music after the release of “Gyalgebra” in November, the first release with new member London multi-hyphenate America Foster.

Her verses light up five of the mixtape’s tracks and feature on the single “Bruk Down” with  dancer-choreographer Parris Goebel and Toronto it girl SadBoi, plus the explosive “Peppa Pot” (not to be confused with Peppa Pig).

Diplo and Major Lazer are longtime Las Vegas headliners, but there is no Las Vegas date on this new tour; the closest shows are April 12 and 19 in Indio, Calif., for Coachella.
