“I just wanted to tell jokes,” Madigan said. “I didn’t start doing open-mic night to become an actor or a celebrity. Those things never crossed my mind.”
Comic Kathleen Madigan has announced her “Flying Cats & Marching Armadillos 2026 Tour” and will bring it to Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas during NFR week on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. The show is her second at the resort this year following the previously announced Saturday, May 9, date.
Coming from a long line of Midwestern union workers, Madigan has always approached standup as a job, and by doing so has established herself as one of the most successful road comics as her career continues to grow.
Pre-sales run ahead of the general on-sale Friday, March 13, at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets starting at $39.99, plus fees, will be at Ticketmaster.com, VenetianLasVegas.com, any box office at The Venetian Resort, (702) 414-9000 and (866) 641-7469.
Madigan has released seven stand-up specials, including her 2025 special “The Family Thread” on Amazon Prime. The special received raved reviews as the Los Angeles Times named it one of the best specials of 2025 and The New York Times said, “Madigan is one of the most impressive joke writers in standup.”

Madigan has made more than 40 appearances on late-night and daytime talk shows, appeared on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” with Jerry Seinfeld and has specials airing on Amazon, Netflix, Max, Showtime and Comedy Central.
In 2020, taking advantage of time off during the pandemic, Madigan created “Madigan’s Pubcast,” which has more than 200 episodes and 10 million streams. She shares her thoughts on everything from Taylor Swift to Area 51.
“I just wanted to tell jokes,” she said. “I didn’t start doing open-mic night to become an actor or a celebrity. Those things never crossed my mind. For a few of us working, telling jokes was our main and only goal. I don’t have any more goals. Can’t you just have a goal, reach it and enjoy it? Why do we have to set more?”
She’s won the American Comedy Award for Best Female Comedian and Phyllis Diller Award for Best Female Comedian. She’s also completed USO tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“The USO shows are the best. Trust me, no crowd is more appreciative and fired up to see a show. I’m glad I have the chance to give back for what they do for all of us.”
