Clark County Partners With Olive Crest to Launch Campus for Children and Families in Southern Nevada

Clark County Partners With Olive Crest to Launch Campus for Children and Families in Southern Nevada

“This extraordinary act of generosity from Clark County is a powerful affirmation of our shared commitment to protecting children and strengthening families.”

In a show of support for children and families in crisis, Clark County has entered into a 25-year agreement, with renewable option lease, with Olive Crest in essence donating the use of the property at 4233 N. Rancho Drive to help transform lives in Southern Nevada.

Olive Crest is also grateful to University Medical Center for its partnership and collaboration in this process. UMC played a key role in advancing this vision, offering guidance and support that ensured a seamless partnership with Clark County for the benefit of children and families.

The site will become the future home of Olive Crest’s campus including a Children and Family Resource Center, a hub offering services to strengthen families, prevent child abuse and keep children safe.

In addition to rehabilitating the existing building, Olive Crest will construct 16 apartments on the land behind the facility, providing homes for teens and young adults who have aged out of the child welfare system and helping them become independent.

“This extraordinary act of generosity from Clark County is a powerful affirmation of our shared commitment to protecting children and strengthening families,” said Olive Crest Nevada Executive Director Jimmy Monaghan. “This campus will be a place of healing, hope and transformation for generations to come.”

“Protecting our children, especially when they are in crisis, is a responsibility I care deeply about,” said Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick. “This agreement demonstrates Clark County’s commitment to being part of the solution for families who need us most.”

The new campus is a cornerstone of Olive Crest’s Vegas Cares About Kids Campaign, which mobilizes community support to divert children from the child welfare system and address the root causes of family instability.

Olive Crest thanks Clark County leadership and the many donors and advocates who continue to make this vision a reality. More: Call (702) 685-3459 and visit OliveCrest.org/NV.
