Blue Ribbon at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to Close on Feb. 16 After 15 Years

I was fortunate to attend the grand opening of Blue Ribbon at The Cosmopolitan in 2010 and share wonderful meals there over the years (RIP, Alyssa Anderson).

Brothers Bruce and Eric Bromberg’s Blue Ribbon American Grill & Oyster Bar at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is closing after its final service on Feb. 16, and I echo the sentiments of my friend and colleague Al Mancini of the podcast “Food & Loathing”:

“This is sad – the Brombergs have done a lot, and continue to do a lot, for Las Vegas. I’m glad we still have them serving sushi in the ’burbs.” The suburbs being the Blue Ribbon Sushi at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson that opened in March 2024.

Back to the Las Vegas Strip, the venue at The Cosmopolitan is preparing to welcome a new food and beverage concept, anticipated to open in late 2026. More details on The Cosmopolitan’s culinary portfolio addition will be shared soon.

“Since joining The Cosmopolitan at its opening in 2010, Blue Ribbon has been a vital part of our vibrant dining scene,” said The Cosmopolitan Food & Beverage Vice President Jessica Somple.

“We are grateful for the dedication of our partners at Blue Ribbon and the entire Blue Ribbon staff in helping make The Cosmopolitan a premier destination for exceptional dining experiences.”

“Fifteen years at The Cosmopolitan has been an amazing experience – building community and connecting with visitors from around the world,” said Blue Ribbon Restaurants Co-Founder Bruce Bromberg. “We continue to operate our other two restaurants in Las Vegas and are grateful for the support of this incredible city.”

“We will miss working with The Cosmopolitan and being part of its fantastic restaurant portfolio,” said Blue Ribbon Restaurants Co-Founder Eric Bromberg (the siblings also attended the grand opening of their Henderson location in 2024).

“Our focus remains on creating memorable dining experiences as we expand the Blue Ribbon brand across the country. We wish The Cosmopolitan and our restaurant neighbors there continued success.”

I was fortunate to attend the grand opening of Blue Ribbon at The Cosmopolitan in 2010, share wonderful meals there over the years (RIP, Alyssa Anderson) and attend the reimagined Blue Ribbon grand opening at The Cosmopolitan in 2017. I also was a fan of the fast-casual Blue Ribbon in Downtown Summerlin.

It was a fun trip down memory lane to pull photographs of Blue Ribbon from those times – photo quality has certainly improved since The Stone Age! All the best to The Bromberg Brothers, and I’m still dreaming of Blue Ribbon’s fried chicken.
