Grammy-winning rock band Switchfoot, known for hit songs “Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move,” is bringing its “Forever Now Tour” to Bel-Aire Backyard’s “Poolside Concert Series,” presented by Clique Hospitality and AEG Presents: Las Vegas at Durango Casino & Resort, on Saturday, Oct. 17. Tickets, linked here, and VIP cabana packages go on sale at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, May 15.

Named after the band’s forthcoming 14th studio album, the tour features guest Anberlin for an evening of melodic, high-energy performances under the desert sky. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the concert starts at 8 p.m. 

“We poured everything we have into making ‘Forever Now,’ but we always say that an album isn’t finished until you take it on tour,” said Tim Foreman, founding member and bassist of Switchfoot. “Playing new songs on the road and seeing them connect with fans every single night is a gift.

“These songs are incredibly meaningful to us … increasingly relevant in the strange, strange times we live in. We can’t wait to hit the road and play these new tunes live for the very first time on the ‘Forever Now Tour’ this fall.”

“We’ve been friends with Anberlin for years,” added Jon Foreman, founding member and lead vocalist of Switchfoot. “We’ve got so much love and respect for them and their former band, and it’s a true gift to be touring with Anberlin again.”

Switchfoot is releasing the single “Absolution” available on streaming platforms on May 15. The song serves as a cry of the post-modern crisis – a jarring juxtaposition of an upbeat, catchy melody colliding with deadly earnest lyrics. Tickets start at $59.62, including fees before taxes.
