Happy Monday and 4/20 Day! And what a way to start the workweek.
Just back from lunch with my brother Charles Chareunsy at the Cheba Hut at 3340 St. Rose Parkway in Henderson southeast of the Las Vegas Strip and five minutes from home in Henderson.
For 4/20 Day at Cheba Hut: $4.20 Nugs, free frisbees (doubling as serving trays and pictured in the main photo), a DJ and vendors (marijuana, lifestyle) today. For the uninitiated, counterculture sandwich chain Cheba Huts offers 12-inch, 6-inch and 4-inch, or nug, sandwiches.
We ordered 5-0 (All the Pig, Baby!!) and The Kind (turkey, bacon and shrooms) Nugs, Not’chos (Doritos and Buffalo sauce), Pretzel Nugs, Chocolate and Marshmallow Krispy Bar and a Goo Ball.

Friendly Assistant GM Atlas told us that this is their busiest day of the year (shocking!), and the bestselling sandwich at this outpost is the Kali Mist (roasted turkey breast, bacon, chipotle mayo), which we ordered to-go.
This Cheba Hut location opened in late 2024 has a bar, too; it’s on our radar now, also because it’s open until 12 a.m. Sundays-Thursdays and 2 a.m. Fridays-Saturdays.
Fun fact: The one and only time I’d been to Cheba Hut in Las Vegas was in 2017 with Carrie Giverson and Brock Radke. Toasted!
