The Wedding Capital of the World has announced that it will celebrate its 73rd anniversary on Aug. 30 with a party commemorating love, America’s 250th anniversary and the timeless tradition of baseball during “Love at the Ballpark” at Las Vegas Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin.
Members of the Las Vegas Wedding Club who married or renewed their vows in Southern Nevada will be invited to an evening of romance, nostalgia and America’s favorite pastime. Attendees will enjoy admission to the game as the Las Vegas Aviators face off against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys.
The all-inclusive private reception will also feature views of the action, an Americana-inspired food and beverage buffet, wedding cake, commemorative photo opportunities, swag giveaways and opportunities to mingle with fellow couples who chose Las Vegas for their wedding day.
The celebration will culminate in a celebratory group vow renewal ceremony, allowing participants to reaffirm their commitment in front of family, friends and fellow romantics.
Throughout the game, attendees may also be featured in special in-game festivities, including video board recognitions, a love story montage, kiss cam appearances and other themed entertainment celebrating love and marriage in Las Vegas.
“As America marks its 250th anniversary, we wanted to create an experience that cheers on two enduring institutions that bring people together – marriage and baseball,” said Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya. “What could be more American than that? The Wedding Capital of the World has brought together couples from every state to create more than 5 million Las Vegas love stories.”
Tickets are available for $57.68 per person and may be purchased here. A portion of proceeds will benefit Champions for CASA. Champions for CASA is the nonprofit auxiliary for the CASA Program and supports the program through recruitment, retention and recognition of CASA volunteers.
