Following two sold-out performances of “1969 Live! The King Returns,” Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino has announced the return of the Elvis tribute show on Friday, July 31, starring acclaimed Elvis Tribute Artist Travis Powell at the International Theater, the stage where Elvis made his iconic 1969 comeback.
This year’s celebration will be even bigger. Turning the event into a full-scale Elvis weekend takeover, Westgate will transform the property into an immersive celebration of The King’s music, style and Las Vegas legacy with Elvis-themed experiences July 31 and Saturday, Aug. 1. The celebration will feature:
- “1969 Live! The King Returns” starring Powell at 7 p.m.
- “Karaoke With The King” at Cabaret Theater at 8 p.m. July 31
- The complimentary “Living Legends Series” hosted by Rob Christie at I-Bar featuring Elvis insiders and guests:
- July 31 (3-4 p.m.): Sam Thompson (Linda Thompson’s brother and Elvis’ bodyguard) and Charles Stone (tour producer for Elvis)
- Aug. 1 (11 a.m.): Estelle Brown (Sweet Inspirations backup singer), Kim Davis (wife of Richard Davis, original member of Elvis’ Memphis Mafia) and Sandi Miller (Gate girl and dated Charlie Hodge, Elvis’ backup singer)
- Free live entertainment from Cole with guest stars from “Million Dollar Quartet” on July 31 and Aug. 1 from 8 p.m.-12 a.m.
- Elvis-inspired go-go dancers performing in hotel lobby and front entrance
- The free “Blue Hawaii Pool Party” on Aug. 1 from 4-7 p.m. hosted by DJ Rob Christie featuring Elvis-inspired music, fashion show, themed cocktails, F&B specials and poolside entertainment
- VIP International Theater tours on July 31 at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. hosted by Joey Calveri
- Elvis-inspired F&B offerings throughout the resort
