The Gene Haas Foundation, a philanthropic organization created by the founder of Haas Automation, yesterday donated $5,000 to the Henderson Firefighter Benevolent Association (HFBA) that benefits the City of Henderson firefighters.
Representatives from the Gene Haas Foundation presented the check to Henderson Fire Chief Shawn White along with active Henderson firefighters and members of the HFBA at Station 91 in West Henderson.
The donation will assist the HFBA with its primary objective to provide charitable assistance to members of the Henderson Fire Department, disabled and retired personnel, along with their survivors as needed including unexpected injuries, line of duty death and more.
“We are extremely thankful for this generous donation by the Gene Haas Foundation,” said Henderson Fire Chief Shawn White. “As our neighbor and community partner, we look forward to continuing our wonderful relationship with Haas Automation as they build and grow within West Henderson.”
Currently constructing a brand-new manufacturing complex on more than 250 acres of land approved by Henderson City Council in February 2019, Haas Automation is one of the newest high-profile businesses in West Henderson.
The HFBA, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization established in 2006, facilitated the donation made by the Gene Haas Foundation.
