Reception invites families to preview annual collection of special cultural exhibits and performances by local community groups and civic organizations
The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is kicking off its annual museum-curated, community-created exhibition, A December to Remember, with a special opening reception.
Open to the public, the family-friendly evening will feature several holiday exhibits on display with Q&A sessions from the creators, sneak previews of upcoming workshops, a silent auction of holiday trees, musical entertainment from El Dorado High School, and a special performance by local nonprofit, Broadway in the Hood.
The six-week event will feature a unique collection of exhibits, workshops, and performances by notable community groups and civic organizations showcasing holiday customs from various ethnic and religious cultures including African American, Hawaiian, Filipino, Japanese, El Salvadoran, Scandinavian, Cuban, Mexican, Muslim, Italian, Christianity, Judaism and Wiccan.
This event is open to the public. Tickets for the showcase event start at $15 and can be purchased online at www.lvnhm.org or at the door.
‘A December to Remember’ exhibition is included with Museum Admission or Membership, and will be on display from Friday, December 1, 2023, until Sunday, January 7, 2024. General admission tickets are priced at $14 per adult and $7 for children ages 3-11 and can be purchased online at www.lvnhm.org or at the door.
