The Delta Academy is now accepting enrollment applications for the 2021-22 school year, which begins on Monday, Aug. 9, 2021.
The fully accredited, tuition-free public charter school serves students grades 6-12 with four educational models to meet students’ needs.
“The way that students learn are just as varied and dynamic as the students themselves,” said The Delta Academy Superintendent Dr. Kyle Konold. “We whole- heartedly believe that providing an individualized education is key to student growth and success, especially after the events of the past year. Some students learn better online, others absorb more in-person, and some require a combination of both.”
Accredited through Cognia, the four educational models provided by the Delta Academy include:
- Traditional college preparatory model – Students attend school four days per week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:08 p.m. Wednesdays are reserved for at-home learning.
- Online model – Students complete most of their work at home and have the option of joining live classroom lessons virtually for teacher lectures and classroom interactions. Students can also attend evening sessions in-person or via Zoom on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:15 to 6:15 p.m. Appointments are required for Wednesdays and there will be no evening appointments available on Fridays.
- Hybrid Model – A portion of instruction is presented online, and a portion is presented face-to-face with a certified teacher. Allows students to take online and traditional (in-person) classes simultaneously.
- Dual Credit Model / Step-Up Program – This program is for juniors and seniors only. Students can earn college credit and take up to two free classes a semester at College of Southern Nevada (CSN) while attending high school. Classes can be focused toward an associate degree or a vocational program in Culinary, IT, Medical, Automotive and many others.
The Delta Academy’s Traditional, Online and Hybrid models are NCAA-approved, and college and career tracks are also available across all educational models.
Parents and students who have an existing Infinite Campus account can complete the online registration application from home at https://bit.ly/3zTVjhi. For all others, the enrollment documents are available at https://bit.ly/35M5pmD, and must be completed and turned in to The Delta Academy’s main office by Friday, Aug. 6.
