Las Vegas Desert Dogs Hosts Free Clinic at Pine Crest Academy

Sticks for Success Brings the Power of Lacrosse to the Clark County School District – Next Home Game, Jan. 27 (College Night)

Today, the Las Vegas Desert Dogs lacrosse team, part of the National Lacrosse League, went back to school and offered a one-hour assembly-style presentation available to all Clark County School District schools and featured lacrosse field instruction (stations) by the Desert Dogs players.

All kids took home a free ticket to a game, and, a souvenir.

The benefits to students are many, including learning the history of the game of lacrosse as well as learning the basics of lacrosse and how to play. Students also learn about the importance of building confidence, working hard, goal setting, teamwork, and the power of positive thinking.

Along with Sticks for Success, the Power of the Pack program continues the Desert Dogs’ efforts in the community as well from last time and visiting hospitals that week. Recently, as part of the Power of the Pack program, the Desert Dogs lacrosse team gave nine Cure 4 The Kids Foundation patients the opportunity of a lifetime.

The Desert Dogs Free Lacrosse Clinic, was held at the Pinecrest Academy – Sloan Canyon- in Henderson today, Jan. 20.
