HELP of Southern Nevada has been designated as a charitable recipient for Walgreens’ give-at-checkout program, encouraging shoppers to donate $1 or more to the local nonprofit when checking out in-stores, now through Sept. 30. All donations will go directly to HELP of Southern Nevada to assist in furthering the organization’s mission to serve the at-risk community in Las Vegas.
The give-at-checkout campaign will run in all Walgreens locations throughout Southern Nevada. The money donated to HELP will be used to support Las Vegas’ most vulnerable communities through ongoing efforts including social services, homeless services and rehousing, emergency resource services, work readiness training and Shannon West Homeless Youth Center. Through vigilant efforts of service in the last fiscal year, HELP has aided over 100,000 locals securing rental assistance, food, clothing, shelter and more.
Due to unprecedented, current issues in Las Vegas and globally, HELP is planning for a busy, strenuous holiday season and is thankful for continued support from both the local community and large partners, such as Walgreens, alike.
