SilverState Plumbing donated 10 water heaters to go toward assisting local low-income residents during the cold winter season
Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada (RTSNV) will be able to provide water heater replacement to more low-income Southern Nevada neighbors thanks to assistance from SilverState Plumbing.
The company recently donated 10 water heaters, which RTSNV will install for several residents in the valley at zero cost to the homeowner.
“There are many vulnerable members of our community who often choose food or medication before investing into costly home repairs. During the cold winter months, this can mean a lack of hot water within their homes,” said Bob Cleveland, CEO, Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada. “With this generous supply donation from Silver State, we’ll be able to improve the comfort of several of our clients so they can have hot water for dignified bathing, dishwashing and laundry.”
According to the National Center for Healthy Housing, families with fewer financial resources are more likely to experience unsafe and unhealthy housing conditions and are least able to remedy them. Substandard housing conditions are often found in areas of concentrated poverty.
Among several homeowner assistance programs that specialize in supporting low-income seniors, veterans and those with disabilities, RTSNV operates its critical home repair program year round, providing repairs and replacements of systems that are critical to the safety and survival of its clients. Repairs made by licensed contractors include roofing, heating and air conditioning, water heater and plumbing systems.
“SilverState Plumbing is proud to be a partner with Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada. During the holidays or any day, nobody wants to be without hot water and we are very glad to be able to give back to the community that has done so much for our business. We look forward to doing this again and appreciate being involved with this program,” said Shane Thompson, Owner, SilverState Plumbing.
Silver State Plumbing offers services for commercial refrigeration, commercial & residential HVAC and plumbing in Nevada, California and Arizona. It is one of many local companies able to aid RTSNV’s mission to repair homes, revitalize communities and rebuild lives.
