HELP of Southern Nevada wrapped up its 13th consecutive annual “HELP2O” Water Drive Labor Day weekend. Throughout this water drive, which began May 28, numerous events were organized to encourage the local community to contribute to the HELP2O initiative. These efforts aimed to raise awareness about HELP’s mission to aid at-risk families and individuals in the Valley.
The fundraising efforts featured an exciting collaboration with the Las Vegas Aviators. At every home game through July 3, fans were invited to contribute at concession stands. These contributions were dedicated to aiding the most at-risk community members in their quest for stable housing. On Aug. 17, HELP of Southern Nevada held their annual Water Drive Extravaganza in partnership with 97.1 The Point, resulting in the generous donation of over 3,200 water bottles in just one day.
With incredible donations from community partners, such as UFC, Wynn, BJ’s Restaurant Brewery, the Las Vegas Premium Outlets and more, HELP is one step closer in their fight to end homelessness one individual at a time.
“The overwhelming generosity of our community continues to shine through this year’s HELP20 Water Drive,” said Abby Quinn, Chief Community Relations Officer of HELP of Southern Nevada. “With over 84,000 bottles of water donated and over $15,000 raised, we have surpassed last year’s contributions, providing vital resources during the hottest summer on record. We are deeply grateful for the community’s generous support.”
