Official kick-off ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 15
Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas will host the 13th annual Chinese New Year in the Desert ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official beginning of the city-wide celebrations.
On Thursday, Feb. 15, guests will be captivated by the lively affair as The Shoppes honorary ribbon-cutting ceremony kicks off the festive property-wide celebrations with a lion blessing, dynamic cultural performances and more in St. Mark’s Square.
City officials and VIPs in attendance include Stavros Anthony, Nevada Lieutenant Governor, Victoria Seaman, Las Vegas City Councilwoman, Rafael Villanueva, CEO of Travel Nevada, Sichan Siv, Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., Dr. Karen Eng, National ACE Foundation Board Chair, and Susan Jin Davis, APAICS Board Chair.
