Touring comics Adam Hunter, Landry, Quinn Dahle, Shang, Peter Berman, and Jimmy Shubert will take the Dragon Room stage in July, joining the award-winning club’s regular lineup
L.A. Comedy Club has announced a hilarious July lineup for the club’s custom new Dragon Room showroom at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod. Adam Hunter, Landry, Quinn Dahle, Peter Berman, Shang and Jimmy Shubert, whose combined credits span NBC, CBS, Comedy Central, HBO, MTV, VH1 and more, will headline the club’s 8 p.m. shows. The club’s lineup of popular resident comics also includes the nightly Happy Hour Variety Show starring Julio Gonzalez at 6 p.m.; comedian Butch Bradley at 10 p.m. Thursday through Monday; and comedian Bret Ernst at 10 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The L.A. Comedy Club, dubbed “The younger rebel brother of Improv” by Casino Player Magazine, has been entertaining Las Vegas locals and visitors since 2007. Known as the spot “where comedy comes to party,” the repeat “Best of Las Vegas” gold award winner has recently relocated its famed Dragon Room to a custom-built 270-seat showroom on the main casino floor at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod.
Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their guardian. No minors under the age of 15 are allowed in the showroom. Ticket prices start at $39.95 plus taxes and fees, with the option to purchase L.A. Comedy’s famous “$25 All You Can Drink Special.” Nevada locals with valid ID receive 50 percent off. Julio Gonzalez, a relative newcomer to the Vegas comedy scene, is known nationwide for his storytelling comedic style using experiences from his life such as weight loss, relationships, society, women and living life to the fullest. Along with his standup career, Gonzalez is known for helping others through his various charity shows and is committed to being the change he wants to see in the world.

Comedic veteran, Butch Bradley, grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey and started his comedy career by becoming a founding member of the Boston Improv Troupe. Bradley has been the opening act for comedic legends like Ray Romano, Lewis Black and Cathy Ladman and has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, has been a regular on “The Late Late Show” and toured festivals such as the “Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival,” the “Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival” and made an appearance as a USO Entertainer. Bradley has received the gold award for “Best Comedian” for three consecutive years by the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas” awards. Bradley’s comedy special, “Butch Bradley: From Las Vegas” is currently available on Amazon Prime. He can also be seen on the big screen in the upcoming film “Reagan” starring Dennis Quaid.
- 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday: Bret Ernst
Bret Ernst, born and raised in New Jersey, was one of four comedians featured in “Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights—Hollywood to the Heartland,” has appeared on television shows like “Comedy Central Presents,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Weeds” and has a recurring role on Netflix’s hit series, “Cobra Kai.” Ernst’s jokes are rooted in storytelling, giving the audience an inside look at the life of a typical North Jersey Italian kid in the 1980s.

Adam Hunter, originally from New York City, has quickly become one of the most popular comedians in the country. Hunter was a finalist on season six of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” and has appeared on “Chelsea Lately,” “The Late Late Show,” MTV, VH1, TruTV, CBS, Comedy Central and more. He has performed for the Armed Services on multiple military tours at bases in Asia, Africa and South America as well as in the United States. His web series “MMA Roasted” and bi-weekly “MMA Roasted Podcast” breaks down popular MMA fighters with brash humor and comedy to an audience of more than 100,000 per month. Hunter is also the host of the popular “UFC Comedy Jam” where he works with professional mixed martial artists to sharpen their comedic skills before they perform for a live audience.

Landry, originally from Kitchener, Ontario, began his comedy career in 2006 and has become best known for his charismatic performance style. Having made his mark on the Canadian comedy world, he moved to Atlanta in 2007 to join the American comedy scene. In 2010, Landry took the title of “Best Male Comic” in the Atlanta Stand Up awards, was a finalist for NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity Showcase,” starred in TVONE’s “Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes?,” was the first winner of the Punchline Club’s “64 Comedian Super Comedy Competition” along with winning “The Boston Comedy Festival” in 2011. Landry’s diverse comedy style makes his jokes appealing to audiences from all walks of life.
- Monday, July 10 through Sunday, July 16: Quinn Dahle with special guests
Quinn Dahle, originally from Minnesota, has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” Showtime, Comedy Central, “Lopez Tonight” and “Carson Daly.” He has worked with some of the biggest names in comedy including Robin Williams, Tim Allen and Brad Garrett. Dahle, known for his comedic and improvisational crowd work, has a universal audience and keeps them coming back for more.
- Monday, July 17 through Sunday, July 23: Shang with special guests
Stand-up comedian star, Shang, is an outspoken New York native who is not afraid to tackle social and political issues. The 2011 Famecast Comedy Winner, Shang has been featured on numerous comedy programs including CBS’ “The Late Late Show,” HBO’s “Def Jam & Poetry” and Comedy Central’s “Jamie Foxx Laffapaloolza,” among others. He has also been a two-time winner of BET’s “Comic View Grandstand.” His credits also include guest roles on NBC’s “Heroes” and CBS’ “CSI” and “NCIS” as well as feature films “Divine Intervention” and “Trunked!” He has released several international specials and his “Shang is SHANGRY! Live in NYC” premiered in 2020 on Amazon Prime.

Peter Berman is a comedian and actor, who hosted the nationally syndicated morning radio show, “Morning Sickness” and written for “The Howard Stern Radio Program.” Featured on “Comedy Central Presents,” he also appeared on IFC’s comedy series “Maron” as well as performed in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada and for American troops in Afghanistan.
- Monday, July 31 through Sunday, August 6: Jimmy Shubert with special guests
Jimmy Shubert, a Philadelphia native, started performing stand-up right out of high school at local comedy clubs before moving to Los Angeles where he began working at The Comedy Store. Shubert was included as one of the original “Outlaws of Comedy” that toured for five years, playing major casinos in Las Vegas and other cities, often to more than 6,000 people per show. After his performance in the Montreal “Just for Laughs Comedy Festival” in 1997, Shubert starred in a pilot sitcom at 20th Century Fox. Shubert’s television appearances range from IFC, ABC, NBC, CBS and Disney Channel. His first half-hour special for “Comedy Central Presents” was recorded at the Hudson Theater in New York City. Additionally, he has recorded three comedy albums with his most recent, “Zero Tolerance,” reaching the No. 1 Comedy Album spot on iTunes.
