L.A. Comedy Club inside The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower is where “comedy comes to party” with resident comedians Julio Gonzalez, Butch Bradley and Bret Ernst alongside some of the most hilarious touring comics from around the country. The September lineup includes Kevin Shea, Alex Reymundo, Todd Rexx, Brandt Tobler and Las Vegas’s own Jay Reid. Guests can unwind with L.A. The L.A. Comedy Club, dubbed “The Younger Rebel Brother of Improv” by Casino Player Magazine, has entertained Las Vegas locals and visitors since 2007. Known as the spot “where comedy comes to party,” the repeat “Best of Las Vegas” gold award winner has relocated its famed Dragon Room to a custom-built 270-seat showroom on the main casino floor at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower.

- The World Series of Comedy Sunday, September 22 through Saturday, September 28 at 4 and 6 p.m.:
The World Series of Comedy is North America’s largest touring stand-up comedy festival, and L.A. Comedy Club will be holding the year-end finals. The competition starts with 101 professional comedians and four rounds of acts to determine the 2024 Champion of “The Main Event.” Each show features a different comedian, so every night is a new show for fresh laughs. Hosted by comedian Trixx, this event allows guests to witness a hilarious competition where they will help determine the ultimate winner.

Julio Gonzalez, a rising star in the comedy scene, is known nationwide for his storytelling comedic style using his life experiences such as weight loss, relationships, society, women and living life to the fullest. Gonzalez also uses his platform and talents as a comedian to help others through his various charity shows and is committed to being the change he wants to see in the world.
- 10 p.m. Thursday through Monday: Butch Bradley
Comedic veteran, Butch Bradley, grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey and started his comedy career by becoming a founding member of the Boston Improv Troupe. Bradley has been the opening act for comedic legends like Ray Romano, Lewis Black and Cathy Ladman and has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, has been a regular on “The Late Late Show” and toured festivals such as the “Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival,” the “Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival” and made an appearance as a USO Entertainer. Bradley has received the gold award for “Best Comedian” for three consecutive years from the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas” awards. Bradley’s comedy special, “Butch Bradley: From Las Vegas” is currently available on Amazon Prime. He can also be seen on the big screen in the upcoming film “Reagan” starring Dennis Quaid.
- 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday: Bret Ernst
Bret Ernst, born and raised in New Jersey, was one of four comedians featured in “Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights—Hollywood to the Heartland,” has appeared on television shows like “Comedy Central Presents,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Weeds” and has a recurring role on Netflix’s hit series, “Cobra Kai.” Ernst’s jokes are rooted in storytelling, giving the audience an inside look at the life of a typical North Jersey Italian kid in the 1980s.

- Monday, September 2 through Sunday, September 8: Kevin Shea featuring Jimmy McMurrin
Born in South Korea, Kevin Shea grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania before moving to San Francisco to begin a career in stand-up comedy, where he quickly rose to popularity after being a part of the Montreal Comedy Festival. Since then, he has appeared on numerous television shows including “Tosh.O,” ABC’s “Dr. Ken,” HBO’s “Down and Dirty with Jim Norton,” Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” among others. He was also the winner of NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity Showcase” in 2010.
Jimmy McMurrin shines as bright as the lights of his hometown of Las Vegas. In 2017, his comedy career took off as he brought a refreshingly original style to the stage. His charisma and flair paired with his observational comedy and hypnotizing cadence was an instant hit with the audience. A family man with two young children, McMurrin speaks as the voice of his generation of young parents depicting what life is like being a dad by day and a touring comedian by night. McMurrin’s national TV debut was in 2020 on Season 2 of “Funny AF” on Pluto TV followed by the taping of Season 4 of “Laugh After Dark” on Amazon Prime earlier this year.
- Monday, September 9 through Sunday, September 15: Alex Reymundo
Alex Reymundo’s first exposure to live stand-up comedy was in Arlington, TX, where he proudly served drinks to the great Ron White before White went on stage. They later teamed up and traveled the nation together leaving their marks on the comedy scene. A few years on the road led Alex to Los Angeles where he instantly fit into the booming Latino comedy community. It wasn’t long before his success went national with Paramount Picture’s “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy” along side Paul Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, George Lopez and Joey Medina. Reymundo eventually released two 1-hour comedy specials, “Hick-Spanic” and “Red-Nexican.” He has over 6 million views on CMT with Ron White’s “Salute to the Troops,” and was a producer and host on “The Payaso Comedy Slam” and “The Latin Diva’s of Comedy” on Showtime and Comedy Central. Reymundo later used his producer skills to launch a premium tequila label, “Number JUAN Tequila,” which he co-owns with Ron White.

Todd Rexx, known throughout the comedy world as “T-Rexx” is a New Jersey native, who made his debut on the comedy scene in 1992 when he took the stage at The Comedy Café in Washington, D.C. T-Rexx has been winning over audiences with his over-the-top impersonations and brilliant crowd interaction ever since. Rexx has made numerous television appearances including BET’s “Comic View,” “The Tonight Show,” and HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam All-Stars,” among others. His comedic talents have taken him all around the globe as he has performed in Europe, Japan, Canada, Mexico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and nearly every state in the country.
- Monday, September 23 through Sunday, September 29: Brandt Tobler
Brandt Tobler, a Cheyenne, Wyoming native is a stand-up comedian, author and actor. Tobler is a regular on numerous comedy podcasts, including “Bertcast,” “Crabfeast,” “Your Mom’s House,” “Mohr Sports,” “The Dana Gould Hour,” Ari Shaffir’s “Skeptic Tank” and was the main host of the award-winning podcast “The 31.” He has also been featured on Comedy Central, Fox and ESPN, and has taken his acts overseas to perform for American troops. His two comedy albums “Token White Boy” and “Ramblin’ and Gamblin’” reached No. 1 on the iTunes and Amazon charts the week they were released. Tobler was also a finalist in Barstool Sports’ “Barstool Idol” contest and was named the “Best-Undiscovered Comedian from Wyoming” by Thrillist in 2018. - Monday, September 30 through Sunday, October 6: Jay Reid featuring Dougie Almeida
Jay Reid is a Las Vegas-raised stand-up comedian who started performing at small clubs when he was 19. Reid’s first big break came when he was chosen to be a contestant on BET’s “Coming to the Stage” comedy competition. After appearing on the show, Reid started booking performances at notable comedy clubs throughout Las Vegas and California, such as the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. After being a contestant and winning comedian Bill Bellamy’s “Who’s Got Jokes?,” he landed his own comedy special “L.M.A.O.” on TvONE network. Reid starred in Showtime’s “Ladies Night Out Comedy Special” and toured on the “Ladies Night Out Comedy Tour” and also alongside comedian Bellamy. Reid’s 3rd comedy special “That Don’t Go Together” is available on Dry Bar Comedy and is currently working on this 4th special, set to debut soon.
Dougie Almeida, a native of Queens in New York City, is a retired kickboxer and former corporate presenter for one of the largest financial planning firms in the country. His specialty was taking lifeless insurance presentations and transforming them into works of comedic art. Prior to taking the stage, Dougie gauges his audience, reaches into his vault and prepares his onslaught of humor. Once on stage, he delivers blow after blow of hilarity, hitting the audience with punch line after punch line. He has been featured on Jimmy Kimmel as well as a winner of Improv’s “New Faces of Comedy.”
