L.A. Comedy Club at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower is feeling lucky with this month’s comedy lineup. Inside the dragon room, the club will be hosting a hilarious group of comedians, including Steve Gillespie, JC Currais, Shang, Willie Fratto Farrell and Nick Guerra. This month, will also feature the late-night showing of Calen G’s “There Goes the Neighborhood Tour.” This month’s lineup will surely keep guests on their toes, waiting to see who will have them laughing next. The club’s lineup of popular resident comics will also include the Happy Hour Variety Show starring Julio Gonzalez at 6 p.m.; comedian Butch Bradley at 10 p.m. Thursday through Monday; and comedian Bret Ernst at 10 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The L.A. Comedy Club, dubbed “The Younger Rebel Brother of Improv” by Casino Player Magazine, has been entertaining Las Vegas locals and visitors since 2007. Known as the spot “where comedy comes to party,” the repeat “Best of Las Vegas” gold award winner has recently relocated its famed Dragon Room to a custom-built 270-seat showroom on the main casino floor at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower.

For one night only, join Calen G and Jim “The Cop Comic” Perry as some of the best comedians come together to create this “There Goes the Neighborhood” Tour. The political atmosphere offers up plenty of opportunity for satire and commentary about California’s larger-than-life personalities and current events. A talented lineup of comedians with different backgrounds will bring their original material to the stage for a raucous showcase that highlights diversity while proving the adage that everyone’s cultural background contains a little bit of craziness.

Julio Gonzalez, a rising star in the comedy scene, is known nationwide for his storytelling comedic style using experiences from his life such as weight loss, relationships, society, women and living life to the fullest. Gonzalez also uses his platform and talents as a comedian to help others through his various charity shows and is committed to being the change he wants to see in the world.

Comedic veteran, Butch Bradley, grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey and started his comedy career by becoming a founding member of the Boston Improv Troupe. Bradley has been the opening act for comedic legends like Ray Romano, Lewis Black and Cathy Ladman and has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, has been a regular on “The Late Late Show” and toured festivals such as the “Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival,” the “Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival” and made an appearance as a USO Entertainer. Bradley has received the gold award for “Best Comedian” for three consecutive years by the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas” awards. Bradley’s comedy special, “Butch Bradley: From Las Vegas” is currently available on Amazon Prime. He can also be seen on the big screen in the upcoming film “Reagan” starring Dennis Quaid.
- 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday: Bret Ernst
Bret Ernst, born and raised in New Jersey, was one of four comedians featured in “Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights—Hollywood to the Heartland,” has appeared on television shows like “Comedy Central Presents,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Weeds” and has a recurring role on Netflix’s hit series, “Cobra Kai.” Ernst’s jokes are rooted in storytelling, giving the audience an inside look at the life of a typical North Jersey Italian kid in the 1980s.

Gillespie has appeared on CONAN, Amazon Prime’s “Inside Joke” and FOX’s “Laughs – All Stars.” Gillespie’s debut album “Steve Fever” was named a top 10 comedy album of the year by ComedyReviews.com, while his second comedy album “Alive on State” reached #1 on iTunes comedy charts and hit the top 10 on the Billboard charts. JC Currais is a Cuban American comedian and actor, born and raised in Miami. His acting career began in 2010 when he made his film debut at the Sundance Film Festival in a feature titled “New Low.” Since then, Currais has starred in television shows such as FOX’s “Lethal Weapon,” BET’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood” and was a series regular on Disney Channel’s original series “Just Roll with It.” In the comedy world, Currais has performed on TBS’s “Conan” and Comedy Central, he was named TBS’s “Top Comics to Watch” at the New York Comedy Festival and was of one the “New Faces of Comedy” at the “Just For Laughs Festival” in Montreal. He brings his larger-than-life personality and high energy together to create his infectious energy. In 2020, Currais wrote and performed on the Twitch Sketch series “Two Joysticks and a Couch.” JC Currais has opened for comedians such as Steve Byrne, Hannibal Burress, Whitney Cummings, Kyle Kinane and Ralphie May.

Stand-up comedian star, Shang, is an outspoken New York native who is not afraid to tackle social and political issues. The 2011 Famecast Comedy Winner, Shang, has been featured on numerous comedy programs including CBS’ “The Late, Late Show,” HBO’s “Def Jam & Poetry” and Comedy Central’s “Jamie Foxx Laffapaloolza,” among others. He has also been a two-time winner of BET’s “Comic View Grandstand.” His credits also include guest roles on NBC’s “Heroes” and CBS’ “CSI” and “NCIS” as well as feature films “Divine Intervention” and “Trunked!” He has released several international specials and his “Shang is SHANGRY! Live in NYC” premiered in 2020 on Amazon Prime. - Monday, March 18 through Sunday, March 24: Willie Fratto Farrell
Willie Fratto Farrell is originally from Des Moines, Iowa, and now spends most of the year onstage in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He has been one of the country’s most requested corporate performers for the past 25 years. He’s known for taking humdrum sales meetings or predictable holiday parties and turning them into a memorable event with his unique, hilarious humor, tailor-made for the audience. Farrell has performed as a regular act on Norwegian Cruise Line for more than 20 years and has entertained in nearly every comedy club in the country. Willie has appeared on A&E, Comedy Central, ESPN, and was featured on “The Godfathers of Comedy” airing on Showtime.

Nick Guerra’s comedy has been described by his fans as a hilarious soul cleansing experience. He is a stand-up comedian who wants people to not only enjoy his show but also leave enjoying life in general. He made his television debut on the Comedy Central show “Stand Up Revolution with Gabriel Iglesias,” and then made his late-night debut on the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.” Guerra was a fan-favorite on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and won “Big Sky Comedy Festival” in 2013 and NBC’s “Stand Up Showcase” in 2015. Guerra also starred in his own HBO half-hour comedy special “Love Me At My Worst,” and in the Dry Bar comedy special “Enjoy Life.” Guerra’s comedy album “Love: The Nick’s Tape” is now available on iTunes.
