With Handmade Pastas, Fire-Roasted Dishes and Bubbly Cocktails, James Beard Award-Winning Chef’s New Restaurant Brings the Italian Coast to Las Vegas
Guests looking for a modern take on their favorite Italian bites can finally delight in James Beard Award Winner Shawn McClain’s Balla Italian Soul at SAHARA Las Vegas.
The highly anticipated restaurant officially opens its doors to the public, offering dinner service Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.
“The Balla Italian Soul team has worked so hard to bring a taste of Italian to SAHARA Las Vegas, says Chef-Owner McClain. “Our guests can expect a regional menu with fresh plates that showcase the brighter and more seasonally driven aspects of Italian cuisine, in a beautiful environment right on the Las Vegas Strip.”
Menu highlights include handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas and meats, and fantastic seafood, along with shareable antipasti and decadent desserts.
In addition to a creative cocktail menu with signature Negronis and Spritzes, Balla offers an Italian-forward wines-by-the-glass list and selection of domestic and Italian beers is designed to please a range of palates.
Together with Richard and Sarah Camarota of the McClain Camarota Hospitality Group, McClain has developed a collection of award-winning restaurants, earning multiple accolades including James Beard Award nominations for “Outstanding New Restaurant,” Esquire Magazine’s “Chef of the Year” and Desert Companion’s “Restaurant of the Year.”
